B2B Sales Associate

 

About the Job


As we continue to grow and scale our business, we are looking to hire a Sales Associate to join our team in Hamburg full-time. The position is currently open at both junior and associate levels. The commercial drone market is growing at a steady pace and with it the demand for our reports and services is growing. We are therefore seeking a Sales Associate to work on selling our growing portfolio of reports and services to clients. You’ll be working with our core team chiefly on marketing and selling Drone Industry Insights reports, generating new leads for projects and representing the company while interacting with customers and clients.

As a young and growing industry, the commercial drone market has plenty of room for exceptional individuals to make a mark on it. You’ll be working on generating long-term relationships with a range of clients and customers: from small start-ups to multinational enterprises and leaders of their fields.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include

 

  • Online and Phone Sales: conducting calls and sending out emails with the purpose of selling Drone Industry Insights products and services by effectively communicating Drone Industry Insights report content and value to customers
  • Responding to Customer Inquiries: prioritizing and then dealing with incoming inquiries about Drone Industry Insights services and products up to either closing the sale or forwarding the inquiry to an analyst
  • Follow Ups: understanding customer or client needs and priorities in order to determine how Drone Industry Insights can help them (i.e. whether they need a report or whether they should speak to an analyst about a project)
  • Generating New Leads: creating outbound leads via cold calling and email campaigns as well as other marketing tools
  • Testing Marketing Strategies: helping Drone Industry Insights test, measure, and improve outreach campaign effectiveness and end-to-end lead management
  • Managing Customer Relations: following up sales to discuss both the customer’s satisfaction with Drone Industry Insights products and/or services and to build long-term relationships and find room for future collaboration
  • Administrative support: cleaning and prioritizing leads, monitoring lead pipelines, and ensuring overall sales database hygiene
  • Improving efficiency: working and co-ordinating with other team members on specific customer requests
  • Representing the DRONEII brand: representing the DRONEII brand to customers and clients on the phone, via email and even in person

 

Key Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will be is a strong communicator with a demonstrable experience in B2B sales and an interest in disruptive technologies. They will be:

 

  • Fluent in English
  • Experienced within B2B Sales
  • Superior written and verbal communicators, able to build long-term relationships with both businesses and individuals in the industry
  • Able to learn quickly and get up to speed on all aspects of the business products and services, being comfortable with presenting them to clients
  • Driven and proactive
  • Interested in disruptive technologies, aerospace and/or civil aviation industries
  • Willing to learn about the commercial drone market
  • Naturally personable and quick to build a rapport with diverse customers, with a proven persuasion ability, whilst always acting with integrity.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks at once
  • Problem-solving, with a track record of generating and executing innovative ideas and solutions
  • Willing and able to adapt to a start-up environment and wear multiple hats if necessary
  • Thriving on challenges and driven to exceed goals
  • Willing to relocate to Hamburg

 

Desirable (but not required) Skills:

 

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or 5 years work experience
  • Experience within B2B Sales in technology or aerospace industries
  • Experience with selling to global markets
  • Previous work with or in a start-up
  • Native English speaker (especially desirable)
